Hand Washing (Recommended):

  • Use cool water (around 30°C/86°F) with a gentle silk-specific detergent or mild soap

  • Submerge the garment and gently move it for 3-5 minutes

  • Rinse thoroughly with cool water until all soap is removed

  • Avoid twisting or wringing the fabric

Machine Washing:

  • Use a delicate or silk cycle with cold water

  • Place the garment in a mesh laundry bag for protection

  • Use silk friendly detergent
Drying Methods

Air Drying (Best Method):

  • Gently squeeze out excess water without wringing
  • Lay flat to dry
  • Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade colors

Important Notes:

  • Never use a tumble dryer for silk garments
  • Do not hang wet silk for extended periods as it may stretch
  • Iron on low heat (around 150°C/300°F) if needed, using a pressing cloth
  • Or hang in your bathroom whilst you shower. The steam will help with the creases
Storage Tips

Proper Storage:

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Use padded hangers to prevent stretching and creasing
  • Alternatively, fold gently and store in a drawer

Maintenance:

  • Avoid spraying perfume directly onto your silk garments to avoid stains
